I am a BACP Senior Accredited Counsellor and Psychotherapist
and BACP Senior Accredited Supervisor (Group and Individual) based
in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire.
I have been in practice since 1991 as a Counsellor, Psychotherapist
and Hypnotherapist, working to an integrative model. This means
I draw from many different approaches, according to the client need.
These include humanistic, Cognitive-Behavioural, Solution focus,
Transactional Analysis, Psychodynamic and Hypnotherapy. I have an
MSc in Counselling Supervision and Training from Bristol University
(1994) and am also UKRC Registered. In 2003 I qualified as a couple
counsellor. For six years I was a BACP Accreditation Assessor, and
have been a regular reviewer for them for over ten years specialising
in law, ethics, supervision and social psychotherapy. In December
2008 I completed further training in CBT. Since 2007 my conference
and review work has focussed on neuroscience, body work and intergenerational
trauma.
I have regular monthly supervision, totalling a minimum of six hours
and personal therapy totalling six years to date. In addition to
private practice, I have worked for a wide number of organisations,
agencies and companies both in a supervisory and in a counselling
capacity.
BACP is the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy.
